OPINION

LAMBERT, Judge:

Linda Williams has appealed from the judgment of the Calloway Family Court *580modifying custody of her minor daughter, Jessica Frymire, from sole to joint and naming Linda’s former husband and Jessica’s father, David Frymire, as the primary residential parent. Linda contends that the court did not have jurisdiction to consider David’s motion to modify, and if the forum was appropriate, abused its discretion in modifying the primary residential parent.
