12Pefendant, Steven Thomas, appeals from his conviction for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and his sen-fence to 13 years at hard labor, without benefit. For the reasons which follow, we affirm.

On May 11, 2006, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office filed a bill of information charging the Defendant with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La.
