HAZEL, District Judge.

This is a suit in equity for infringement of letters patent to Michael J. Moloney, No. 1,206,018, dated November 28, 1916, for a method of making welt shoes.

The plaintiffs acquired title by assignment and license, respectively, as hereinafter ruled.

Prior to the patent in suit, there was a desire for the manufacture of inexpensive welt shoes for small children’s .wear — a flexible, light, soft product having durability and strength and of fine material to supply the *955existing demand.
