Plaintiff brought suit in circuit court to recover damages for injuries sustained by her as a result of being struck by a truck owned and operated by defendant. The accident occurred on the 8th of September, 1943, about 4 o’clock in the afternoon, on a public highway in Benton township, Berrien county. The highway in question runs in a general easterly and westerly direction and was at the time of the accident paved to a width of approximately 18 feet.
