After dark on the evening of February 5,1941, plaintiff was riding with her fiance, now her husband, in an automobile which was proceeding eastward on M-50. Defendant was driving northward on M-114. Plaintiff was severely injured in a collision between the two cars at the intersection of the two roads. . M-50 is a straight trunk line highway consisting of four lanes each 10 feet in, width and running east and west out of Grand Rapids.
