On the evening of December 6, 1930, the plaintiffs George Ley and John Blum were driving a Buick *333automobile owned by the plaintiff Colby Cheese Box Company, south on highway 13 between the village of Unity and the city of Marshfield. While so driving they ran into a truck belonging to the defendants proceeding in the same direction. Three horses were being led behind the truck. One was tied to the cab of the truck and the other two were being led by one Aliar, an employee of the defendants, who stood in the rear part of the truck. It was a dark, foggy, and misty night..
