This is a petition for a writ of prohibition to restrain the respondent superior court from authorizing certain acts by the building and loan commissioner of this state.

Within the last few years many building and loan associations in California have become financially involved, and pursuant to the terms of the Building and Loan Act, the commissioner has taken over the business of a number of such associations for the purpose of liquidation.
