Petitioner Howard Steverson appeals the dismissal of his 1999 petition seeking habeas corpus relief from three expired state convictions that were used to enhance his current" federal sentence under the Armed Career Criminal Act, 18 U.S.C. § 924(e). In view of the Supreme Court’s recent opinions in Daniels v. United States, 532 U.S. 374, 121 S.Ct. 1578, 149 L.Ed.2d 590 (2001), and Lackawanna County District Attorney v.
