This appeal involves a visitor who was injured when she slipped and fell in an icy parking lot at a State office building in Nashville. The visitor filed a claim with the Tennessee Claims Commission pursuant to Tenn.Code Ann. § 9-8-307(a)(l)(C) (Supp.2005) asserting that the State had negligently failed to monitor the local weather forecasts and to initiate timely protective measures to prevent or to remove ice from the parking lot.
