Much matter irrelevant to the controversy between the parties is injected into this record. It is of no consequence whether defendant resorted to ruse or wiles peculiar to her sex in inducing Thomas C. Bermingham to marry her, or what were her habits or those of Bermingham either before or after wedlock. The facts remain that they were married, that they were competent to contract a marriage when they did so, and that defendant is the widow of Thomas C. Bermingham.
