Defendants Hobart Rhey, Albert Pryel and Joseph Frank were convicted of embracery and of conspiracy to commit embracery on indictments ordered by the court after an investigation of a grand jury. Thomas Clougherty and Thomas Mulkearn, the other two defendants, were acquitted by direction of the court. All defendants were tried together on both charges.
