The prisoner, defendant, Pietro Buceieri, on the afternoon *539of the 23d of June, 1892, killed Sister Mary Hildaberta at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the city of Reading. Being arrested, tried, and convicted of murder of the first degree, and sentenced to be executed, he took this appeal, alleging as error: (1) The refusal of the court to grant a continuance.
