CARTER, Judge:

A general court-martial composed of officer members convicted appellant, contrary to his pleas, of conspiracy to commit rape, conspiracy to obstruct justice, making a false official statement, and rape, in violation of Articles 81, 107, and 120, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 881, 907, and 920 [hereinafter UCMJ]. The convening authority approved the adjudged sentence to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for four years, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to Private E1.
