On November 1, 2000, the District Court of Maryland sitting in Montgomery County entered a judgment in favor of Abdollah Movahed and the Estate of Nourollah Toulabi, respondents, and against Nina & Nareg, Inc. doing business as D & D Auto Body, petitioner. On November 8, 2000, petitioner filed an appeal to the Circuit Court for Montgomery County.
