MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

JAMES HARVEY, District Judge.

Plaintiff filed this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 claiming that he was beaten by several police officers. The incident allegedly occurred when approximately eighty police officers attempted to disperse a party attended by approximately eight hundred youths. The date of the alleged beating was either late at night on September 9, 1978, or early in the morning of September 10, 1978. Plaintiff filed his original complaint on September 9, 1981. The original complaint alleged three separate causes of action against various defendants.…
