WOLLMAN, Circuit Judge.. Merle C. Bradford and 25 co-plaintiffs filed suit against their employer in January 1992, alleging discriminatory practices in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 621-34, and the *1416Missouri Human Rights Act, Mo.Rev.Stat. §§ 213.010-.137. The plaintiffs were at one time all rate clerks in the St. Louis office of Norfolk & Western Railway Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Norfolk Southern Rahway Corporation, which, in turn, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Norfolk Southern Corporation (collectively “Norfolk Southern”).
