The issue in this case is whether documents and communications relating to proceedings of medical peer review committees are protected from discovery in a suit for damages when there is a claim that false information was supplied to the committees with malice. The trial court ruled that the documents at issue were discoverable, and the parties objecting to production seek mandamus relief.
