The issue in this case is: Did the independent insurance agent, Steve Hagen (Hagen), have a duty to advise his continuing client, Lisa's Style Shop (Lisa's), to adjust the limits of liability of Lisa's personal property insurance to reflect changes in the store's inventory? The circuit court for Rock county, the Honorable Michael J. Byron, dismissed Lisa's claim holding that Hagen had no such duty. The court of appeals reversed. Lisa's Style Shop v. Hagen Ins.
