The Gilchrist Transportation Company-instituted four separate suits against tire Great Lakes Towing Company to recover damages for injuries claimed to have been suffered by cer*434tain of its vessels, due to negligent towage on the part of certain tugs of the respondent. The Franklin Transportation Company likewise instituted a suit against the same respondent to recover damages suffered by it through the same cause.
