The plaintiffs sued to quiet their alleged title to a certain parcel of land, together with a church building and a parsonage thereon, situated in the town of Vacaville. The defendants were given judgment and the plaintiffs have appealed.

For more than forty years before the commencement of the action there was in the town of Vacaville a congregation of the Christian Church, or Disciples of Christ, the two names being used synonymously.
