This was a suit by husband and wife to recover damages for an injury done to the wife, Mary Healey, who, on October 14th, 1898, was walking along the sidewalk on Christie street, a public street .in the city of Newark. While she was in the lawful use of the street a horse of the defendant was being led along the sidewalk by a halter by a servant of the defendant. The horse had no other harness.
