This is an appeal by plaintiff, Billy Joe Eickelman, from a jury verdict in favor of the defendant, Illinois Central Gulf Railroad Company, in a personal injury action filed against the railroad pursuant to the Federal Employer’s Liability Act, 45 U.S.C. Section 51 et seq.

Plaintiff contends the trial court erred in: (1) denying plaintiff’s motion for a directed verdict and a Judgment Notwithstanding the Verdict; (2) submitting the issue of contributory negligence to the jury; (3) failing to permit plaintiff’s physician to detail plaintiff’s medical history; (4) sustaining…
