On the 4th day of June, 1874, an association of persons acting as a corporation, and known as the Indianapolis Journal Company, executed a mortgage on certain real estate in the city of Indianapolis, in the possession and use of said company, to Lewis W. Hasselman and William P. Fishback, to secure the payment of a sum of money therein specified.
