Petitioner pro se, Kenneth Clemmons, filed a 28 U.S.C. § 2254 petition for writ of habeas corpus on November 9, 1992. The district court, adopting the magistrate’s findings of fact and conclusions of law, dismissed the petition. Clemmons now appeals that order.
In the spring of 1990, a Woodford County, Kentucky jury convicted Clemmons of first degree burglary and theft over $100, and found him to be a first degree persistent felony offender. The court sentenced Clem-mons to over twenty years imprisonment in July, 1990. Clemmons lost his direct appeal and…
