Plaintiff-respondent Cheri Dietrich (“plaintiff’), an employee of Canadian-Pacific Ltd., d/b/a Soo Line Railroad Company (“Soo Line”), brought suit under the Minnesota Human Rights Act (“MHRA”), Minn.Stat. §§ 363.03, 181.81 (1990), against Soo Line, plaintiffs former manager, Vern Graham, and the vice-president of plaintiffs former department, Robert Tisdall, alleging age discrimination and reprisal regarding the abolition of her job position and related training and hiring opportunities.
