BREWSTER, Justice.

The plaintiffs, W. E. Riley and Richard E. Bloomfield, sued Richard M. Jones, defendant, for (1) $50,000 actual and $100,-000 exemplary damages that they claimed resulted from many fraudulent misrepresentations allegedly made to them by defendant to induce them to enter into a real estate transaction that they were all involved in; (2) for specific performance of a provision contained in an option agreement whereby the three agreed that if the two plaintiffs did exercise the option therein granted to them by Jones (which they did later do) and did purchase a I/3…
