Raymond Porter brought this action alleging that his termination by United States Alumoweld Company, Inc. (Alumoweld) violated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq.; the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), 29 U.S.C. § 2601 et seq.; and South Carolina Code Ann. § 41-1-80 (1976), prohibiting retaliatory discharge based on the filing of workers’ compensation claims.
