Pending before the Court is the defendants’ Motion to Depose Unavailable Witnesses, ECF No. 70, which requests the Court to authorize, pursuant to Fed. R.Crim.P. 15(a)(1), the pre-trial depositions of five witnesses who are allegedly unavailable to testify at trial. The defendants requested expedited consideration of this motion since three of the witnesses they seek to depose are employed aboard the F/V San Nikunau, a fishing vessel that will depart from New Zealand for *3deep sea fishing in the third week of April.
