The parties appear here in reverse order of their appearances in the trial court and will be designated as they there appeared.

Defendants were the joint owners of two parcels of property. These two tracts in their entirety were required for the construction of the Valley Highway within the city limits of Denver. The property was located in what is now known as the Speer Boulevard Interchange.
