¶1 — Following a six-week trial, the jury convicted Jorge Luis Lizarraga of murder in the second degree of 18-year-old Devin Topps, two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, residential burglary, theft of a firearm, and possession of a stolen firearm. Lizarraga seeks reversal of the murder conviction, arguing that the exclusion of inadmissible hearsay evidence violated his constitutional right to present a defense and his right to a unanimous jury verdict.
