This is an action to quiet title to real property, brought by the Brace & Hergert Mill Company against the State of Washington. In its complaint the mill company alleged that it was the owner in fee simple of the west half of block 94, in D. T. Denny’s First Addition to North Seattle; all of block A, in D. T. Denny’s Sixth Addition to North Seattle; and all of lot 12, in block 1, and lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, in block 3, of Mercer’s Water Front Addition to the city of Seattle; and that it was in the possession of such property, and had been in the open, public, notorious, adverse and actual…
