Automobile liability insurance policies issued for delivery in Nevada must, subject to narrowly defined exceptions, provide uninsured (UM) and underinsured (UIM) motorist protection to any person insured under the policy.1 UM/UIM insurance provides for the payment of first-party benefits based upon tort damages sustained in motor vehicle' accidents involving uninsured or underin-sured motorists.2 Absent a written waiver of UM/UIM coverage, the insurer must provide minimum UM/UIM coverage limits in the amount of $15,000 per person injured or killed in a single…
