Defendants Walter Liew and his company USA Performance Technology, Inc. (“USAPTI”) appeal from their eight counts of conviction under the Economic Espionage Act of 1996 (“EEA”) for conspiracy and attempt to commit economic espionage and theft of trade secrets, possession of misappropriated trade secrets, and conveying trade secrets related to E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (“DuPont”) chloride-route technology for producing titanium dioxide (“Ti02”).
