George Bougopoulos sued Altria Group, Inc. (“Altria”), Philip Morris USA Inc. (“Philip Morris”), and R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, Inc. (“R.J. Reynolds”), alleging claims for products liability; negligence; negligent misrepresentation; fraudulent misrepresentation; violation of New Hampshire’s Consumer Protection Act, RSA 358-A:2; and violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”), 18 U.S.C. § 1961 et seq., arising out of Bougopoulos’s injuries from smoking cigarettes manufactured by the defendants.
