Walker/ J.,Tbis is an action to recover tbe value of two mules alleged to bave been injured in tbe course of transportation from East St. Louis,'Ill., to Raleigb, N. 0., by defendant’s negligence, and to bave died from said injuries tbe day after tbey were delivered to plaintiff. Tbe jury returned tbe following verdict:

1. Was plaintiff’s stock injured by tbe negligence of tbe defendant Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company, as alleged in tbe complaint? Answer: No.

2. Was tbe plaintiff’s stock injured by tbe negligence of tbe defendant Seaboard Air Line Railway, as alleged in tbe complaint?…
