This appeal arises out of Antonio Tapia Almanza's indictment in Cobb County for child molestation, incest, aggravated sexual battery, statutory rape, and aggravated child molestation. Following that indictment, Almanza's alleged victim (Almanza's stepdaughter) and her mother (Almanza's wife) left Cobb County, and the District Attorney's subsequent efforts to locate these witnesses have been unsuccessful.
