1Opinion of the Court

Judith Rogers, Judge.

This is an appeal from the Workers’ Compensation Commission’s opinion finding that appellee’s failure to provide notice of his injury was excused under Ark. Code Ann. § 11-9-701(b)(1)(B) (1987); and that appellant was liable for temporary total disability benefits accruing between June 19, 1991 and February 2, 1992, and all reasonable and necessary medical expenses incurred. On appeal, appellant argues that the Commission erred as a matter of law in awarding appellee benefits under Ark. Code Ann. § 11-9-701(a)(1) and (b)(1)(B) (1987). We disagree and affirm.
