On May 13, 1969, plaintiff Joe W. Von Brimer * filed a three-count complaint against Whirlpool Corporation (“Whirlpool”) arising out of defendant’s conduct in connection with the issuance of United States Letters Patent Number 3,194,032, for an “Improvement in Automatic Washing Machines,” or more specifically, a linear induction motor for use in washing machines.
