FOLSOM, District Judge:

Frances C. Hopson (“Hopson”) sued her former employer, Quitman County Hospital and Nursing Home Inc. (“the hospital”), in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi alleging that her termination violated the Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA” or “the Act”). She also asserted state law claims for violation of the hospital’s personnel policies and the public policy of Mississippi. The parties consented to trial before Magistrate Judge Jerry A. Davis.
