TERRY, Associate Judge:

Respondent Bateman, a member of our bar, pleaded guilty in the United States Dis-

trict Court for the District of Maryland to a charge of conspiracy to possess cocaine on board a vessel, with intent to distribute it, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 955e (1994).1 The Board on Professional Responsibility (“the Board”) concluded that this offense was a crime of moral turpitude per se. We agree and order Mr. Bateman disbarred under D.C.Code § ll-250S(a) (1995).
