OPINION AND ORDER

Plaintiffs attorneys apply for an award of attorneys’ fees, costs and disbursements pursuant to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”), 29 U.S.C. § 626(b), which incorporates 29 U.S.C. § 216(b), the Fair Labor Standards Act provision for reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs for a prevailing plaintiff.
The application comes after a trial before a jury in an action initiated in 1986 by Plaintiff Conrad S. Caruso, a former partner in Peat Marwick & Mitchell (“PMM”). Plaintiff claimed that PMM willfully violated the ADEA by (1)…
