— The question in this case is whether the defendant has a right to claim her exemption out of property levied upon by the sheriff. The defendant borrowed from the plaintiff two sums of money for which she pledged a diamond necklace and a diamond ring as security. The defendant claimed that the loans were in large part paid, but a verdict for the full amount of the claim, namely, $677.52, in favor of the plaintiff refuted her contention.
