In January 2001, the Illinois Department of Human Rights filed an amended complaint with respondent Illinois Human Rights Commission on behalf of respondent Jesse Mansker. The amended complaint alleged, in pertinent part, that (1) a male coworker had sexually harassed Mansker while both men were employed by petitioner, Pinnacle Limited Partnership, and (2) Pinnacle was liable for the coworker’s conduct because it failed to take reasonable correetive measures after Mansker’s supervisors became aware of the sexual harassment.
