This case came before the Supreme Court on April 3, 2012, on appeal from a Superior Court judgment of conviction after a jury verdict finding the defendant, Kayborn Brown (defendant or Brown), guilty of first-degree robbery. Brown was sentenced to forty years at the Adult Correctional Institutions, with fifteen years to serve and twenty-five years suspended, with probation.
