GRAVES, Justice.

Appellant, Edward Lee Harper, Jr., was convicted and sentenced to death in the Jefferson Circuit Court for the murder of his adoptive parents, Edward and Alice Harper. This Court affirmed his convictions and sentence on May 2, 1985. Harper v. Commonwealth, Ky., 694 S.W.2d 665 (1985), cert. denied, 476 U.S. 1178, 106 S.Ct. 2906, 90 L.Ed.2d 992 (1986). On August 28, 1986, Appellant filed an RCr 11.42 motion and request for an evidentiary hearing in the Jefferson Circuit Court. Appellant filed a supplemental motion on July, 1, 1996.
