The plaintiff brought this action to recover for loss of services and moneys expended in the care of his minor son who was injured by falling off a Ford truck owned and operated by the defendant. The complaint was in two counts: in the first count, it was alleged that the plaintiff’s minor son, John E. Shiels, a boy thirteen years of age, was invited by an employee of the defendant, and with the latter’s knowledge, to ride upon his truck which was driven to a coal yard, and that on the way back the boy fell from the running board and was injured.
