¶ 1. This appeal is before us a second time following the United States Supreme Court’s reversal of our prior decision, wherein we concluded that defendant had been deprived of his right to a speedy trial in violation of the Sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. See Vermont v. Brillon, 556 U.S._, 129 S. Ct. 1283 (2009) (remanding case after rejecting this Court’s analysis of speedy-trial balancing test under the Federal Constitution).
