CRIMINAL LAW — MIRANDA RIGHTS –– VITIATION OR NULLIFICATION Following a proper recitation of Miranda rights, when a person being interrogated asks for clarification regarding those rights, an officer cannot make an incorrect statement of law or intentionally mislead or trick the person being interrogated.
