HALLEY, Chief Justice:

There is involved here a tort action for property damages. Parties will be referred to as they appeared in the trial court. On May 19, 1962 the defendant Shirley Lynn Polk was driving an automobile in a northerly direction on North May Avenue in Oklahoma City. At a point in the 6900 block on North May Avenue the defendant drove the automobile she was driving off the road in order to avoid striking a car traveling in front of her.
