Defendant was indicted for and, after a jury trial, convicted of two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, each being a class A-III felony. At the close of the People’s case, defendant moved for an order directing the prosecution to produce the informer involved in the matter." This motion was renewed at the close of proof.
